The K-pop Dance Club is a student-led club that meets every Friday during club sessions to learn our favorite K-pop dances. We provide you with the opportunity to take a break from the stressful school work, listen to your favorite music, exercise and dance all you want! Our club also aims to share our interest in K-Pop by learning the choreography to various K-pop songs while building connection among school mates of different year groups.

In the first term, we taught the choreography of two K-pop songs that are of very different styles. These two songs are sung by famous Korean girl groups – APink’s “Remember” and Girls Generation’s “You Think”. We spent roughly 2-4 club sessions to teach the choreography to one song, depending on the level of difficulty. We started off with the cheerful, cute and fresh dance, “Remember”, which is of a summer vibe. We then took on a new challenge with the powerful, strong and sexy choreography of “You Think”.

In this club, the student leaders take on the role of teaching our club members the choreography of the K-pop songs. We decide which songs to learn through discussion, allowing us to share our interest amongst different year groups. We teach with patience and friendliness, as our objective is to spend an enjoyable time together.

If you are interested in our club, don’t hesitate to join us in the second term!
